ESP32-Cam-tank: fpv vehicle powered by esp32 cam

Kun Li created this amazing Tank Teleoperated Robot.

ESP32-Cam-tank

a fpv vehicle powered by esp32 cam.
This project use a esp32-cam chip to make a common toy into a fpv rc toy.
It can record videos. It also has telemetry to monitoring the battery voltage and wifi signal strength.
Welcome to modify/upgrade and share.

material list:
ESP32-cam x 1
MX612/MX612E x 2
dc-dc converter 1.5~4.2v to 5.2v x 1
resistor a 5.1kΩ x 1
resistor b 3.2kΩ x 1
capacitor a 100μf x 1
capacitor b 10μf x 2
3.7v lithium battery x 1
switch x 1

Fwd: [HBRobotics] Telepresence robots for social interaction

---------- Forwarded message ---------
From: Dheera Venkatraman

Hi everyone,
Among the many uses for robots during this pandemic, I think one of
the hugely overlooked use cases is in keeping up mental health of the
community by facilitating human-to-human social interaction. I'm
building a small fleet of mini budget telepresence robots and they're
working pretty well in connecting friends!

They use a Pixel 1 phone for compute (which can be had for <$65
second-hand on eBay) and everything runs from within a HTML5 webpage.
2-way audio/video stream is over WebRTC. Tele-operation is done over
socket.io and the phone communicates to motors via bluetooth to an
ESP32 and a DRV8833.

Freedom Robotics launched out of stealth yesterday with $6.6 million in funding to help build the “AWS equivalent for robotics.”

https://news.crunchbase.com/news/freedom-robotics-launches-with-6-6m-in-seed-funding-to-build-the-aws-equivalent-for-robotics/

I have actually setup the Freedom Robotics software to run on the OpenRover platform.  It was fairly straightforward an provided and Instant remote access and control with Telepresence capability to the rover.

Anyone mildly familiar with ROS and knows how to get the webcam going in ROS can do this.

Guardian GT - A human-controlled, force-multiplying robotic system

Guardian GT - A human-controlled, force-multiplying robotic system with one or two highly dexterous arms mounted on a track or wheeled base, allowing a single operator to do more, safely.

From basic labor-saving tasks like heavy lifting, to more intricate processes like welding and joining, it multiplies individual effectiveness and adds leverage to human capabilities.

What is Telerobotics

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telerobotics

Telerobotics is the area of robotics concerned with the control of semi-autonomous robots from a distance, chiefly using Wireless network (likeWi-FiBluetooth, the Deep Space Network, and similar) or tethered connections. It is a combination of two major subfields, teleoperation and telepresence.
